I've gotten to like taking pictures of lighting! I have yet to storm chase or really plan a shot but when its good and stormy I usually at night I usually try and get out to take a few shots.
I also went out one night only to have the storm disappear. It was a little sad but I decided to see what I could pick up in the leftover broodiness. These shots make me think of the Lion king every time I see them.
I also decided today to take a trip up the canyon and capture the fall colors. It was a gorgeous day and a lot of fun to wander in the cold morning air of autumn.

The best part of these photos is the amount of Photoshop work; almost none! The lightning photos are a little cropped (lightning is unpredictable so I try to catch as much of the sky as I can), as is the first autumn photo. Everything else is straight off the camera.
